Rome, Here I come!

You Belong in Rome

You're a big city soul with a small town heart
Which is why you're attracted to the romance of Rome
Strolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in hand
And gorgeous Italian people - could life get any better?

The funny thing is...I've been telling Tim that he needs to take me there for as long as I can remember.

Go Lakers!

My Mom, Dad, and I decided to surprise Tim and get him really good tickets to a Laker game for Christmas and his birthday. Tim is no ordinary Laker fan. He is THE NUMBER ONE LAKER FAN! No exaggeration. So I was really excited about his gift and so was he.
We had a parking pass to park in one of the VIP garages, we had to enter the Staples Center through a separate VIP entrance and the entire area of the side we entered was for only VIP ticket holders, we had access to the Royal Room which was for VIP only, and we had in-seat service where we had a waitress bring us our Giant Pretzels and Sobe drink. Basically, we were VIP. haha
The Lakers were up by 20-30 points the entire game against the Jazz. The final score was 123-109. And the funny thing is, my family are HUGE Jazz fans. =o)

Peach Yogurt

Marisa had yogurt for the first time. Organic peach yogurt! It was absolutely hilarious. As you can see, she didn't really like it. She made this face after every single bite. She still opened her mouth for more though...barely. haha

Christmas at The Harts

We spent Christmas with Tim's parents and Sara. It is always fun for everyone to be at Grandpa and Grandma's house! It was extra special this year because Marisa had her first Christmas. She got lots of toys, clothes, and books!

So excited!

A family tradition that I want to start for our little family is to have pajamas to open on Christmas Eve. And Marisa opened her first present! Cute pjs!

Our little family

We FINALLY got our family pictures in the mail! Here are a few of my favorites!

Happy 8 months!

Happy 8 month birthday Marisa! We LOVE you sweetheart!

Sleeping Beauty

Marisa gets so messy sometimes that I have to put her hair in a ponytail and strip her down to just a diaper. Look at those big brown eyes!

Happily screaming in the bathtub!

KPMG Christmas Party

Tim and I really enjoyed ourselves at a work Christmas party last night. The theme was "James Bond: 007". I thought it was a cute idea...007, like, 2007. Anyways! It was a pretty formal event. Black-tie optional in fact. There was a LOT of drinking, good food, gambling, dancing, and a big ice sculpture that said 007 with alcholic beverages pouring out of it. haha!
They gave us $2000 of fake money to gamble with and by the end of the night you had to cash in your chips for raffle tickets which you can use to put it in a box of your choice to win the prize you want. We won several hundred dollars more by playing craps. One of Tim's drunk co-workers taught me how to play. It was really fun even though I kinda didn't know what I was doing. She was nice enough to teach me and allow me to follow her moves. She would even get so happy for us when we would win money! Drunk people are actually really nice! They seriously become your best friends throughout the night.
Funny story: One guy that Tim hardly knew offered to take us to dinner at a really nice restaurant because he liked us so much. haha! I highly doubt he remembers telling us that. haha
At the end of the night, we put all of our raffle tickets in the box that was for a 37" plasma TV. We didn't win it though. =o( It was definetly a great night regardless. We had a lot of fun getting out, dancing, and acting young again.

Tim and I about to leave for the party!

Sportin' the virgin Shirley Temple!

Growing and Growing

Last week Marisa started eating mashed bananas and cheerios! She didn't do so well with the Cheerios so I may wait awhile until I introduce them again, but she gets better every time she has them. I just want to play it safe.

She is also getting better at pulling herself up. In the picture below she had managed to pull herself up to her feet, but then she stayed in that position for awhile because she didn't know how to get out of it. It was funny!

Lastly, Marisa is waving a lot more. Today at church a man kept waving at her and she would just wave back everytime he did it. It was seriously so cute. I wish I had a picture of her little hands and fingers in the air smiling and waving.

BYU vs San Diego

Yesterday we took family pictures at the Oceanside Pier in San Diego. It was really windy and cold. So much for having a good hair day. But Marisa was the happiest little girl ever and our photographer had a blast taking pictures of such a smiley baby. He kept saying, "Oh my gosh, what a cute baby!" So I'm excited to see our pictures and I think we got a lot of good ones.
We decided to spend the rest of the day in San Diego after our pictures because we were also going to go to the BYU vs San Diego game later than afternoon. Haylie, my niece, was with us because she was so kind to come and help Marisa smile for pictures. We went to Ruby's for a late breakfast, drove down the coast, visited the San Diego temple, walked around Ikea, and then ended our day with a great win against SDSU. Go Cougars!

In front of the beautiful San Diego temple.

BYU won 48-27!

Marisa and I enjoying the game!

Matt covering his ears because the SDSU band decided to come right behind us and play a short song. haha It was so loud!
