Help?

What is it called when the sales associate at babygap knows you and your daughter personally and when at the check out desk says to you, "You know, you should really open a Gap card because you're in here so much."

Hola!

For some reason everytime we said "Hola!" she would scream like this...haha. Please excuse her disastrous hair. She was wrestling with Tim before we videotaped her. =o)

Happy Father's Day!

Some of the best moments in life are when I get to watch Tim and Marisa together. I love the way they look at each other while they giggle, laugh, smile, and become silly. They both fill our house with so much happiness and love that I can't help but feel like one of the luckiest women in the world. I have a sweet, loving husband who is a sweet, loving father to our happy, gorgeous baby girl. What more can I ask for?
The best moment of them together is when Tim comes home from work. Everyday he slowly creeps in through the door so he can sneak up on Marisa. And everytime she turns around quickly with a huge smile and yells out in her tiny, sweet voice, "Daddy!" It just doesn't get better than that.

Happy Father's Day, Tim!! We love you!

The reason why we have kids...

My dad always told us while growing up that the reason why my parents decided to have kids was to have them do work around the house. haha He usually said it when we didn't want to do chores around the house.
Several years later, here I am a mother, putting my own daughter to work. haha
Marisa loves doing the laundry and she is great at it! She is such a good little helper! She knows she needs to take all the clothes out of the dryer, shut the door to the dryer, plus the doors to the laundry room. haha
Also, I taught Marisa to throw things away for me. I don't have to get up from where I am. I just ask Marisa, "Can you please through this in the trash for me?" She happily does it everytime!

Table Manners

Marisa is doing such a good job using utensils during dinner. It's really cute to watch her try. She is also a great eater and eats everything we give her. In these pictures she is eating Spinach and Potatoes au Gratin!

Word Bank

For journaling purposes I want to list all the words that Marisa knows. It is so hard to keep up with the MANY, MANY new things she does, says, figures out, etc. Everytime Tim comes home from work I always tell him of something new Marisa did that day. She is such a fast learner and it's so exciting to watch! So here is the list of words...

-Hi/Hello (Ewo)
-Bye
-No
-Boo
-Baby
-Banana (Nana)
-More
-Cracker
-Yeah/Yep
-Toto (Meaning "Otro" in Spanish which means "Another/Again")
-Daddy
-Mum/Mommy (Mon-ee)
-Leslie
-Grandpa and Grandma
-Papi and Nana
-Pretty (Ety)
-Eye
-Ball
-Binky
-Georgie
-June (A favorite Disney character)
-Amen
-Doggy
-Bird
-Bear
-Fish (Ish)
-Flower (Wower)
-Peek-a-boo
-Zap (We say this when we poke her tummy to get a laugh)
-Uh-oh
-Hot
-Diaper
-Hat
-Lunch
-Blast-off!
-Jesus
-Mmm...good!

The Next Food Network Star

My friend Kelsey from college is a finalist for being the Next Food Network Star! The show premiered last Sunday and even though I was in San Francisco I made sure I still watched her! haha She is so lovely in every way and has the sweetest, cutest personality ever and I really hope she goes all the way on the show. She deserves it! Watch her Sunday nights at 10PM/9C on The Food Network! And vote for her on www.foodnetwork.com/star!

Laker Love

This morning, my sweet husband woke me up before he left for work and this is the very first thing he said to me, "Tonight I am watching the Lakers and I'm doing nothing else."
My first thought was, "Good morning to you too and I hope you have a great day at work!" haha But the only thing that came out was, "Ok...?"
Once Tim arrived home from work, he ran inside, turned on the TV and said outloud, "Tanya, I'm so nervous." No kiss, no hi, no nothing. And then he said, "And I'm eating dinner in front of the TV." But somehow I was able to convince him to eat at the table with his family instead of in front of the TV like he wanted. (But he had to sit on the side that faces the TV better.) Dinner was pretty lifeless, needless to say, as the only sounds came from Marisa and Tim's utensils as he savagely ate his dinner in like 30 seconds. He should have just eaten in front of the TV. haha
To top this all off, he told me during one of the commercials breaks that he had a dream about the Lakers last night. The dream was that it was game one at half-time, Kobe missed all ten of his shots, but the Lakers bench played well and the Lakers were winning 44-42 at half time.

Yeah...

I know what you are all thinking and to answer your question, yes, I was fully aware of his dedication to the Lakers before I married him.

(I posted this picture of the Laker girls because Tim always says that he wishes I was a Laker girl. I'm not kidding when I say he's the Laker's #1 fan!)

San Francisco!

This year we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary by visiting San Francisco! We loved being downtown with great tall buildings and the many floors of great shopping in each store, riding cable cars, buses, and boats throughout the city, eating great food, walking across the Golden Gate Bridge and back, and visiting all the great attractions of San Francisco! But the best part about going on vacation as a couple is remembering and enjoying the love that brought us together in the first place. Happy Anniversary Tim! I love you! And thanks Wayne and Elaine for watching Marisa for us. She had fun at Grandpa and Grandma's house for the weekend!
